Jarret Middleton was born in Boston and lives in Seattle, where he has long been known as a founder and editor of Dark Coast Press and Pharos Editions, but his debut novel, Darkansas, is a vicious little bit of Ozark Gothic, tapping into the murky, murderous history of a family of Arkansas musicians.
